The course so far has a wide variety of units, each offering a wealth of information and engaging activities. Teacher support is easily accessible, which is fantastic. However, I think the course could be even better with a few more examples of completed work to give a clearer idea of expectations.

" Well-rounded and flexible course"

I enrolled in the Level 2 Certificate in Art & Design, which is a well-rounded and flexible course equivalent to an IGCSE art course but assessed through a portfolio rather than an exam. The course encourages you to explore various art mediums and styles, pushing you to stretch your creative abilities. I thoroughly enjoyed the two-year program, gradually building my skills and confidence in art. The experienced tutors and dedicated peers made the journey even more rewarding. Thank you, OCAD, for a fantastic experience!

I really enjoyed doing this course, from start till finished. The tutors were amazing and kind. Such positive and helpful feedback always. They are very encouraging and their aim is to help you to achieve well within your own potential. There were some tough times, but mostly a sense of accomplishment that boosted my confidence.
The whole process and project has taught me so much more than just learning an art skill. All the trials, planning, trying and trying again has taught me so much perseverance. I have gained life skills that I now have forever and can use in so many other things I might have to face in life. This course has help me with my anxiousness to know that it is good to trial and try things and not to be scared to do so, even if it is a fail, but instead of giving up and feeling like a loser, I am now able to keep on trying until I am satisfied with the outcome, after giving it my best. It has also helped me to think deeply about how I see life and was able to channel my feelings and mood successfully through being creative.

I would highly recommend this course and hope other students will find it as great as I have.

I had the privilege of studying with OCAD over the past year, and it was truly an incredible experience! I was completely unsure about how I would get into fashion university until I discovered this course online. Now, I've completed the year with a strong final project, doubled my knowledge, and received four university offers.

I want to give a special mention to Jo Cantwell, who has been an outstanding tutor and an absolute joy to work with. She constantly challenged me and pushed me to reach my full potential.

Overall, I can’t thank OCAD enough and would highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in art!

"I have loved doing this course!"

Before doing the Level 3 Foundation Course Art & Design at OCAD, I knew nothing about design. Now that I have finished the course, I know in which design field I want to specialize and I got the opportunity to experiment in loads of projects in different design fields, such as Animation, illustration, Character Design, Photography and Graphic Design. What I really loved about this course is the wide-ranging choice of topic for the projects, you can really choose whatever you really like!!! I find the tutors very helpful and gave valuable tips and correction. I learnt a lot during this course, like creating a whole project alone, doing a project presentation and a self evaluation and also time management! All things that will help me in the future. The only thing that could be improved is the connection with people. There weren’t many lectures, it was more like working alone and learning alone. I would recommend adding some more lectures, not only 1 to 1 but also group lectures. However, it was overall a good course!

There's such a fantastic variety of projects to choose from, each with creative and engaging methods for developing them. The tutors are incredibly helpful and approachable, so social interactions are always positive. Personally, I’m quite shy and struggle with anxiety, but this course was a step forward for me, allowing me to connect with others and share my thoughts. "Excellent way of studying"

very helpful tutor's and an excellent way of studying while working as well, my art has improved and I'm hopefully on my way to uni thanks to them
